My taiwan trip=D!(photos will come later coz my home PC just freaking crashed on me when i returned hm. abit wth. currently using my dad's laptop=X)
COINCIDENCES
1)on the 2nd day, went to ximen ting...the adidas sports shop was playing xia yu tian by lara, at exactly the same time my mp3 started to play it!super coincidental...
2)on the 3rd day, passed by a shop in shilin night market...playing a super COLD song called 醉清风...which was a song that sister recommended to me...it was playing on the radio on the radio segment called leng men jin qu..LOL...random huh?=P
3)on the 1st day, met members of the SAF in wu fen pu...and met one of the specialists of the 43rd aslc who signed on after ord...he got posted to 4sir n they were in taiwan for LIVE FIRING...which is like the SLACKEST reason u can go taiwan for...think zainudeen got a shock when i went up to talk to him...=D
reached taiwan at about 3pm on wed...after a 4hr plane ride while transiting in HK...after dropping by the hotel, went wu fen pu coz my elder sis couldnt wait...but cant say i didnt benefit from the trip...bought quite a few things=) jealous eh sister?=DD
thurs morning went to this temple called long2 shan1 shi4...where i got sumthing interesting n meaningful for sis=) then spent whole afternoon roaming the streets of ximen ting...ate some of the popular foods there like mian4 xian4 n grilled chicken n pork rice...didnt actually buy anything at ximen coz the things there are like *^%$# expensive as compared to wu fen pu...just memorise the designs that u like at ximen n try n find them at wu fen pu...save a lot of money...
n at nite we went shilin night market...food was okay...cant stand their smelly beancurd though...really smells very the disgusting...mixture of faeces n vomit UURRGGHH...got some accessories n clothes there as well=) anyway fyi...the shopkeepers at taiwan EXPECT u to cut their prices...so dun stupid stupid go n pay for the goods at the original price(which is usually VERY STEEP) when u can bargain till half the price written on the price tag...
3rd day was the zzz day...took train from taipei town station to keelung...then took a never-ending bus ride to jin gua shi, which is a historical museum that used to be a gold mine...scenery was quite decent n everything was fine...until we went down to jiu fen=P since it was labour day(taiwan celebrates it too), the place was freakily crowded...packed like sardines doesnt even start to describe it...the streets are like only 3 body sizes wide, and the stalls are so close together that it made me claustrophobic(read:fear of small spaces)...with ppl pushing from the back n dogs barking in front...grr...seriously not my kinda place...compounded by the fact that there are like NO stalls that sell ANYTHING that interests me AT ALL!
n the trip back to keelung was omfg!the bus queue was long, the sun was bearing down on us, n the trip took nearly 1.5hrs!grrr...
continued on to miao4 kou3 market which was crowded too but still within acceptable limits...got an 'imperial seal' that is custom made to bear my name there...just thought it would be interesting to have smth that is so traditionally chinese=) and at night went to spam wu fen pu again!that place is too big to finish seeing every shop within one night sias...
day 4...woke up late for a change...hehe=) then went chiang kai shiek memorial hall to have a look...quite unique...with lots of beautiful trees n architecture...then we missed the free ride to beitou! in the end we took mrt there ourselves...the hot spring there was an interesting experience...apparently has medicinal abilities like improve blood circulation etc etc...the water was only at 40degrees n i abit cannot take it liao...while my parents were busy having fun LOL...after that took mrt to dan shui!pretty pretty city...din reli try the food coz was quite full...took a bus to the famous dan shui yu ren ma tou!
when i do post the photos u all can take a look...the scenery is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even a non-photo whore like me photo-whored non stop okay!so u can imagine the beauty of the place yo...yu ren ma tou AKA lover's bridge...where u can see many many couples walk hand in hand...quite romantic place too!but there are of course those few girls at lover's bridge that do not have a companion la...prolly wallowing in self pity or smth=P oops! but that's where ppl like ALEX TAN(PERFECT CUT!) come into the picture! be sure to go there when u go taiwan in july bro!might get an unexpected surprise!=D
after that went shilin for a little while to tie up some loose ends...then headed back hotel for last nite's sleep before flying back first thing sunday morning...
think i will rate this trip 7.5 ba...haha...like sister said, prolly the back spasms while shopping and the undesirable travelling time deducted some marks away...
let go and let live~everyone will feel better that way...
